I don't think Van Gogh started this way, but hey...it's worth a shot. Mama's Royal Cafe in Oakland is looking for the best doodler for their 23rd annual Napkin Art Contest. Now, before you think napkin art is just a bunch of stick figures, check this out. It is amazing what people can do on a flimsy piece of paper. And to think...I've just been wiping my mouth with it all this time.
Submissions come from all over the world and this year they're expecting over two hundred entries. Amateurs and professionals can enter and such renowned artists as Raymond Saunders and Mike Henderson have taken the title. So, don't blow your nose with that! Send it in by March 31st.
